Common Questions
Everything you need to know before your visit. Can't find your answer? Call us or send a message.
Do you take my insurance?
Tell us your plan and we'll say plainly whether we are in network. We send the claim to your plan either way, and we check your benefits before your first visit. How fees work lists the kinds of plans.
What if I don't have insurance?
You pay the fee for your visit, and we give you a written estimate before treatment starts. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.
Do you accept Medicaid or CHIP?
It depends on the plan. Call the office and we will tell you yes or no for your plan, in plain words.
Will it hurt?
We numb the area before treatment, and you can ask for a break at any time by raising a hand. We can't promise you won't feel anything, so tell us what worries you and we'll go over your options.
How often do I need X-rays and a cleaning?
Your dentist decides, based on your exam and your history. For many people that is a checkup and cleaning once or twice a year, but yours may differ.
What is a deep cleaning?
A cleaning below the gum line that your dentist or hygienist may suggest when an exam shows gum disease. We explain what we found and why before we do it.
Do you see children?
Yes, our dentists see children and teens. Call to ask about your child's age and what a first visit looks like.
What counts as a dental emergency?
Call 911 or go to an emergency room for trouble breathing or swallowing, swelling that spreads to your face or neck, or bleeding that won't stop. For a broken or knocked-out tooth, or a toothache that can't wait, call our office right away.
Do you offer sedation, and who gives it?
We offer local numbing and nitrous oxide. Your dentist gives both, with a trained team member in the room. We don't give deeper sedation here; if you need it, we refer you. Our services page explains how we watch over you.
Can I get a written estimate before treatment?
Yes. Ask when you book or at your visit and we put it in writing, with each treatment, the visits it takes and what it will cost.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes. Dr. Nieto and our front desk coordinator speak Spanish, and this site has a Spanish version of every page.
How do I cancel or change a visit?
Call us or send a message as soon as you know. We'll find a new time that suits you.
